About the position
The Rehabilitation Aide position at Athletico is designed to support physical therapists and patient experience coordinators by performing both administrative and clinical duties. This role emphasizes patient care and satisfaction, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while assisting in their rehabilitation process. The position is part-time and focuses on providing exceptional service in line with Athletico's core values of teamwork, accountability, and continuous innovation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments by assisting with supportive devices.
- Assist physical therapists during the administration of treatments and provide routine treatment.
- Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients in practicing exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
- Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
- Clean work areas and equipment after treatment sessions.
- Wash linens and towels, and maintain linen cabinets.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
- Assist the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
- Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and assist in ordering inventory.
Requirements
- High school graduate or intern preferred.
- Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and time management skills are required.
- Ability to provide patient/client satisfaction that exceeds expectations.
- Energetic team player with compassion toward patients.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a clinical setting as a rehab tech or aide.
