About the position
The Physical Therapy Aide at ACCESS PT plays a crucial role in supporting physical therapists and assistants in providing care to patients. This position involves preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient mobility, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for therapy sessions. The aide will work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals while contributing to a positive and patient-focused culture within the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sanitize treatment room for patients.
- Understand and assist with the use of various therapeutic equipment such as stationary bikes, pulley systems, and exercise balls.
- Prepare equipment for treatments, including hydrotherapy tanks and hot packs.
- Assist in removing and replacing braces, splints, and slings from patients before and after treatment.
- Support patients during ambulation and gait training under the guidance of physical therapists or assistants.
- Communicate effectively with patients, the public, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
