About the position
The Physical Therapy Assistant at Tri-City Healthcare District provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist. Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Administers corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients as directed by the physical therapist.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety and infection control requirements.
- Assists the physical therapist in delivering physical therapy services.
- Complies with the California Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Follows clinical and personnel policies consistently.
- Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and confidentiality with patients and staff.
- Aims to reduce expenses while maximizing production and revenue.
- Performs related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license from the Physical Therapy Board of California, required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, required.
- One (1) year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferred.
