About the position
The Physical Therapy Assistant PRN - Inpatient Rehab at Reston Hospital Center is responsible for providing a full range of physical therapy services, including therapeutic interventions, in a collaborative team environment. This role involves communicating with the primary physical therapist and other medical team members regarding patient progress and discharge planning, while also contributing to program development and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of physical therapy services including therapeutic interventions.
- Communicate with the primary physical therapist and other medical team members regarding patient's progress and needs.
- Demonstrate accountability for program development and quality improvement.
- Apply conventional treatment methods using therapeutic modalities.
- Document patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited program.
- Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience in inpatient rehab preferred.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and/or federal law or regulations.
