About the position
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position at Meadowview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center involves providing skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. Responsibilities
- Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
- Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Physical Therapist.
- Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with RPT supervision.
- Measuring & recording residents motor function, strength and muscle performance.
- Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
- Observe residents and write progress reports.
Requirements
- Entry-level position requiring less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of therapists and nursing staff.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities is a plus but not mandatory.
