About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and function through various therapeutic techniques and exercises.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
- Conduct assessments of patients' progress and report findings to the physical therapist.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedics to enhance patient treatment outcomes.
- Engage in trigger point therapy techniques as needed for pain management.
- Work effectively with pediatric patients, adapting treatments to meet their unique needs.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Valid CPR Certification
- Experience in Physical Therapy
