About the position

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position at Snohomish Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia involves working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to assist residents and patients in recovering from physical injuries or illnesses. The role focuses on helping patients regain movement and manage pain through various therapeutic techniques and exercises. This position is available in part-time, full-time, or PRN capacities, providing flexibility in work hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation and mobility tasks.
• Support the effectiveness of physical therapists by identifying patient care issues and providing relevant information.
• Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
• Review and interpret patient evaluations and test results to identify abnormal conditions.
• Administer therapeutic procedures, including manual exercises and instruction in physical activities.

Requirements

• Current state PTA licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with medical terminology.
