About the position

The Physical Therapy Manager at the University of Oklahoma is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing the Physical Therapy Department within OU Health Services. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring operational effectiveness, and providing direct patient care. The manager will also engage in administrative duties and participate in key decision-making processes to enhance departmental performance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and manage the Physical Therapy Department.
  • Perform administrative duties to review operational effectiveness of the department.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Department staff including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals needing physical therapy.
  • Complete necessary documentation including patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Attend administrative meetings and other required supervisory or in-service meetings.
  • Perform various duties as needed to fulfill the function of the position.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • 48 months experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Physical Therapy Licensure from the State of Oklahoma.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to supervise and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task.
