About the position

The Physician Account Manager is a field-based sales role responsible for driving territory growth and profitability of laboratory sales. This position involves managing accounts, ensuring customer retention, and collaborating with Physician Account Executives to resolve service issues. The role requires a strong focus on customer relationships and the identification of up-selling and cross-selling opportunities across various sales territories in Arkansas.

Responsibilities

  • Drive territory growth and profitability of laboratory sales.
  • Manage accounts through ongoing business reviews of service, logistics, and supplies.
  • Ensure customer retention by maintaining relationships with current accounts.
  • Drive growth in assigned Key Accounts.
  • Identify and pursue up-selling and cross-selling opportunities in cooperation with Physician Account Executives.
  • Partner with Physician Account Executive to resolve account-specific service issues.
  • Collaborate with Customer Solutions Group to facilitate and resolve customer service issues.
  • Escalate unresolved service issues as appropriate.
  • Leverage tools and resources for sales support.
  • Provide continuing education to customers on new technologies and laboratory testing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly.
  • Follow up communications with Physician Account Executives and customers.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of experience in sales or with account ownership.
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry, specifically laboratory/diagnostics, and general economics of business.
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid PC skills including Microsoft Software.
