Physician and APP Recruitment Specialist

About the position

The Physician and APP Recruitment Specialist at MaineHealth is responsible for providing comprehensive recruitment and preboarding support for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This role involves participating in the full cycle recruitment process, including candidate generation, scheduling, CV review, offer materials preparation, negotiations, and tracking recruitment metrics. The Specialist will collaborate with the Provider Recruitment team to ensure effective recruitment and onboarding of healthcare professionals within the organization, operating in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Provide recruitment and preboarding support to senior leadership and physician leaders.
• Participate in the full cycle recruitment process for physicians and APPs.
• Generate candidates and schedule interviews with potential hires.
• Review CVs and prepare offer materials for selected candidates.
• Negotiate offers and manage the new hire process.
• Process expense and travel reimbursements, and handle invoice payments.
• Track and generate metrics related to recruiting and preboarding activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in Human Resources or a related business role required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Experience with ATS systems and HRIS applications preferred.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet targeted goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills.

• Experience in recruiting preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, APPs, and management at all levels.
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
