About the position

This position is for a Physician specializing in Anesthesiology within the Federal system, specifically located in Chinle, AZ, Gallup, NM, and Shiprock, NM. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. This includes both paid and unpaid experience, such as volunteer work through National Service programs. Candidates must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in previous positions, including the total number of hours worked per week. The position requires a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution, along with a current, unrestricted medical license. Additionally, candidates must have completed at least one year of supervised clinical experience, such as an internship or the first year of a residency program. For higher grade levels, additional graduate training or equivalent experience in Anesthesiology is required. This is an Open Continuous Announcement, meaning applicants will be referred as vacancies occur.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting.
  • Supervise and train medical interns and residents.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license.
  • At least 1 year of supervised clinical experience.
  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology or an Active Registrant of the Board in Anesthesiology.
