About the position
Benefis Health System is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a well-established group of 14 FTE hospital-employed anesthesiologists in Great Falls, Montana. The role involves providing anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical cases in a state-of-the-art facility, with a focus on patient-centered care and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia coverage for a wide variety of surgical cases including General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Neurosurgery, Plastics, GYN, Bariatrics, Thoracic, Vascular, Orthopedics, and Gastroenterology.
- Participate in a call schedule that is fair and based on group consensus, not tenure.
- Ensure 100% coverage on all cases without supervision.
- Collaborate with a dedicated long-term scheduler to ensure proactive planning and fairness in scheduling.
- Engage in physician wellness programs focused on personal and professional development.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology.
- Ability to care for trauma patients and perform regional block skills.
- No cardiac or OB anesthesia experience required, but willingness to pick up OB shifts is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a variety of surgical cases including trauma and pediatrics.
- Interest in maintaining skills in OB anesthesia.
