About the position
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide 24/7 coverage for the Cardiac Care Inpatient Unit at Jersey Shore UMC, part of Hackensack Meridian Health. This role emphasizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, requiring collaboration with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement care for patients with health and safety needs. The position offers flexible shifts and is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct clinical practice in the Cardiac Care Inpatient Unit.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize leadership and consultation skills in patient care.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical competencies.
- Engage in ethical decision-making in clinical practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
- Master's Degree in nursing or related field.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and practice.
- Experience in a relevant patient care setting.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
- Valid Driver’s license.
