About the position

The Physician Assistant at Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients. This role includes making rounds, conducting physical examinations, administering injections, caring for wounds, and arranging patient referrals. The position is full-time, working night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in the medical care and management of patients.
  • Make rounds and perform physical examinations.
  • Administer injections and care for wounds.
  • Arrange for patient referrals as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or a baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in Pennsylvania.
  • National Certification in Pennsylvania or another state with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
