About the position

The Physician Assistant position at INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians involves providing medical consultation and routine patient care under the guidance of a supervising physician. This full-time role is focused on delivering exceptional care to patients, particularly in cardiovascular surgery, and includes responsibilities such as assisting with procedures and collaborating with healthcare team members. The position requires participation in on-call status and adherence to patient safety goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical consultation and routine patient care under the guidance of the supervising physician.
  • Assist the physician with procedures and serve as a liaison between the physician and the patient.
  • Collaborate consistently with the supervising physician, nursing staff, support staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Develop evidence-based protocols in conjunction with the Medical Director.
  • Compile outcome data and assist with the implementation of acute care and rehabilitation for patients with cerebral vascular disease.
  • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Previous work experience in care of Neurological patients required for Heart Hospital; stroke care preferred.
  • One year of experience in a comprehensive emergency department setting preferred for Emergency Department.
