About the position
The Physician Assistant will work closely with Dr. Neil Jones, a General Surgeon, to provide comprehensive care in a reputable practice that specializes in general surgery and vein therapy. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including patient evaluations, pre-operative assessments, post-operative management, and assisting in surgeries, offering a flexible work schedule with both full-time and part-time options.
Responsibilities
- Conduct office evaluations of patients
- Perform pre-operative physicals
- Manage post-operative care
- Make hospital rounds
- Assist in surgical procedures
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant license
- Experience in general surgery or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in vein therapy
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
