About The Position

The Certified Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Practitioner in OBGYN at Grand View Health will provide comprehensive patient care for women throughout the care continuum. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of care, including inpatient consultations, physical examinations, and participation in surgical procedures. The position requires autonomy in patient management while adhering to hospital policies and state legislation.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license required.
• 1 to 3 years of OBGYN experience preferred.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Work efficiently under tight deadlines and high volumes.
• Strong technical aptitude and competency in computer systems.

Nice To Haves

• Meditech EMR experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care for designated OBGYN patient population.
• Function as a clinical expert and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct inpatient consultations and physical examinations.
• Provision orders and participate in daily hospital rounding.
• Assist in the operating room as first assistant during surgeries.
• Plan and coordinate patient discharge processes.
• Perform patient assessments and manage care autonomously with physician collaboration.
• Engage in medical and procedural interventions, education, and quality improvement.
