About the position

The Stonington Institute is seeking a medical advanced practice provider, specifically a board-certified family nurse practitioner or physician assistant, to provide residential detox and partial hospitalization services. The role involves conducting medical histories and physicals, consultations, and follow-ups for psychiatric residential patients. The position offers a traditional work schedule with day shift hours and the flexibility of a four or five-day work week, along with a call schedule of 1:3 weeks, which is telephonic only.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical histories and physicals (H & Ps) for patients.
  • Perform consultations and follow-ups for psychiatric residential patients.
  • Provide care in residential detox and partial hospitalization services.

Requirements

  • Board certification as a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
  • Experience in psychiatric care is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in residential detox services.
  • Familiarity with partial hospitalization programs.
