About the position
Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Vascular Surgery department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. This full-time outpatient clinic position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no call, weekends, or OR coverage, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of vascular surgeons and advanced practitioners, contributing to the care of patients in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the outpatient vascular surgery clinic.
- Collaborate with a team of vascular surgeons and other advanced practitioners.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and national certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies (Required).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nurse Practitioner studies (Preferred).
- Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.
