About the position

The Physician Assistant (PA) position at Stonington Institute involves providing comprehensive care in a behavioral health setting, focusing on substance abuse treatment for adults. The role includes client evaluation, diagnostic assessment, medication management, and follow-up care under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer. The PA will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to client case conferences, ensuring a high standard of care and positive client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provides client evaluation, diagnostic assessment, medication management and treatment, and follow-up to clients under direction and supervision of Chief Medical Officer
• Participates in process and program quality improvement initiatives to improve care for clients
• Participates in client case conferences and departmental/organizational meetings, as directed
• Impacts client experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy
• Completes client medical record documentation according to Stonington Institute's policies and procedures
• Shares accountability for overall client health outcomes by working in coordination with Clinical Care Team
