About the position
Envision is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Ingalls Family and Urgent Care Center in Calumet City, IL. This role requires a minimum of one year of urgent care or emergency department experience post-graduation. The position involves cross-credentialing across three facilities and provides care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide urgent care services to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (EPIC).
- Participate in continuous education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of urgent care or emergency department experience post-graduation.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
