About the position
The Physician Assistant role at Theoria Medical involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care primarily in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). The position offers a supportive work environment with flexible schedules, no on-call duties, and a focus on meaningful patient-provider relationships. The role emphasizes efficient documentation and collaboration with nursing staff, ensuring comprehensive care for residents.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical care of the population at assigned SNFs.
- Round daily and prescribe medications and treatments for residents.
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in SNFs.
- Timely documentation of all patient care encounters.
- Available for phone/secure messaging consultations with facility nursing staff.
- Complete documentation in Theoria's proprietary EHR system, ChartEasy™.
- Be on-site and punctual for scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Current Physician Assistant licensure in North Carolina.
- Experience in primary care or post-acute care settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to travel between facilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or American HealthTech.
- Familiarity with conversational and Dragon dictation software.
