About the position
Geisinger's Nutrition and Weight Management Department is seeking a physician to join their team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, focusing on obesity medicine and nutrition support. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the field of clinical nutrition and bariatric medicine.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of physicians, advanced practitioners, and nutritionists.
- Utilize innovative care delivery models and electronic health records to enhance patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with obesity and related conditions.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required.
- Board eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, or Family Medicine with additional training in Obesity Medicine/Nutrition Support.
- Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a clinical nutrition or bariatric medicine setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and innovative care delivery models.
