About the position

The Manager of Physician Compensation plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior Director of Total Rewards by managing the compensation review process for all medical groups. This position is responsible for developing compensation strategies that align with the organization's financial goals, ensuring fair market value, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves advising on compensation policies, coordinating with various departments, and administrating compensation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Director of Total Rewards in managing the compensation review process across all medical groups.
  • Develop physician compensation strategies that align with financial and organizational goals.
  • Maintain and make recommendations related to physician compensation plans to drive productivity and profitability.
  • Plan, design, and implement pay practices to ensure fair market value.
  • Design policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance in relation to physician compensation plans.
  • Advise and consult with Compensation and HR Teams on data analysis and implementation of compensation policies.
  • Partner with Leadership and the Legal team to develop or modify new agreements.
  • Administer the compensation systems housing existing agreements.
  • Coordinate payments for Physicians with Human Resources and Payroll.
  • Serve as a communication liaison with Medical Network Leadership, Business Development, Recruiting, and Finance departments.

Requirements

  • Experience in compensation management, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical skills for financial modeling and competitive assessments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to physician compensation.
  • Ability to design and implement compensation policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with compensation systems administration.
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial practices.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within HR or Compensation.
