About the position
The Physician - Emergency Medicine position at WVU Medicine offers an opportunity to join a large team of over 60 full-time faculty members across various emergency departments in north central West Virginia. Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in various hospital settings.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents in emergency medicine.
- Participate in the academic and clinical activities of the emergency department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and education.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
- Completion of an accredited emergency medicine residency program.
- Significant emergency department experience for candidates with alternate boards (FM, IM).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students and residents.
- Fellowship training in emergency medicine or related fields.
