About the position

ERP International is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to support the Emergency Department at the Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis AFB, Nevada. The role involves providing high-quality emergency medical services to military members, their families, and retired military veterans. The physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, performing various medical procedures, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full range of emergency medicine services including diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries.
  • Conduct medical procedures such as incision and drainage, lumbar puncture, and venous punctures.
  • Stabilize and evaluate cervical spine injuries and perform emergency vaginal deliveries.
  • Administer medications and secure intravenous access as needed.
  • Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest and provide resuscitation treatment.
  • Examine patients and develop treatment plans based on assessments.
  • Coordinate with other facilities and complete required paperwork for patient care.
  • Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care as necessary.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and additional committee meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Completed an approved Emergency Medicine residency acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General.
  • Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
  • Maintain a current, unrestricted Medical License in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Possess current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
