About the position
The position is for a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join a healthcare system in northern Maine, providing high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care. The successful candidate will work alongside two OB/GYNs and two Certified Nurse Midwives, focusing on compassionate care for a diverse patient population. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation and managing a significant number of deliveries annually, with access to a supportive medical center and various specialists.
Responsibilities
- Provide obstetrical and gynecological care to patients.
- Participate in an on-call rotation of 1:3.
- Lead deliveries and manage high-risk pregnancies.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including midwives and specialists.
- Engage in community outreach and patient education.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
- Experience in managing obstetrical and gynecological cases.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
- Familiarity with patient-centered medical home (PCMH) models.
