About the position

The Physician Human Resources Consultant II position is a vital role within Kaiser Permanente, primarily focused on supporting senior employees in the development and deployment of HR strategies, programs, policies, and procedures. This individual contributor will engage with HR Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders to conduct various human resources support activities under the guidance of more experienced colleagues. The role is designed to assist in implementing organizational change efforts, ensuring that HR practices align with both employee needs and business objectives. In this position, the consultant will be responsible for fostering effective relationships with coworkers and customers, sharing resources and knowledge, and actively seeking feedback to enhance performance. The consultant will complete work assignments by applying current knowledge in the HR field, adhering to established procedures, and collaborating cross-functionally to address business challenges. This includes supporting the completion of priorities and deadlines, communicating progress, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The consultant will also assist in the development of HR strategies by researching organizational data to identify trends and root causes of HR issues. This involves gathering necessary data to drive recommendations and providing solutions that consider both HR and business objectives. Additionally, the consultant will support various HR specialties, including equal opportunity, disability management, recruitment, compensation, and employee benefits, while documenting HR activities. Moreover, the consultant will play a role in implementing organizational change by identifying requirements, assessing information, and developing communication strategies. They will assist with employee and labor relations by conducting research on employment regulations, interpreting company policies, and addressing employee concerns. The consultant will also support HR investigations by collecting data, conducting interviews, and creating documentation for corrective action plans. Finally, the consultant will compile reports and analyses to support HR compliance and interpret regulatory updates to implement necessary changes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Science, Public Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of two years of experience in human resources or business operations.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
