About the position
The Ohio State University is seeking an experienced, board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician to join the Executive Health Program within the OSUCCC-James Cancer Hospital. This position offers a flexible time commitment ranging from 70-100% and involves providing direct and indirect patient care services, conducting ambulatory clinics, and participating in quality assessment activities. The physician will also engage in teaching and training medical students and residents in the specialty of hematology.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care services in inpatient and/or ambulatory settings.
- Conduct ambulatory clinics, performing physical examinations and relevant hematology procedures.
- Order diagnostic testing and ancillary services as needed.
- Prescribe and implement treatment plans while educating patients and their families.
- Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities.
- Serve as a preceptor and provide bedside training for residents, fellows, medical students, and nursing staff.
Requirements
- MD or DO; Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency from an ACGME accredited program.
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Minimum 5+ years in outpatient practice setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with a focus on preventive health.
