About the position
The Ohio State University is seeking a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology to join the Division of Hematology at the OSUCCC-James Cancer Hospital. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, conducting ambulatory clinics, and participating in quality assessment and improvement activities. The position also includes a significant educational component, as the physician will train residents, fellows, and medical students in hematology.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Orders procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services.
- Prescribes and implements treatment plans.
- Directs and participates in quality assessment and improvement activities.
- Provides bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, and other allied health professionals.
Requirements
- MD or DO (or equivalent)
- Board eligible or certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Must meet medical licensure requirements for the state of Ohio
