About the position

The position is based in Albany, GA, which is home to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, the largest hospital in the area. The role involves 1-2 days of regional outreach, aligning with the health system's mission to serve the community in Southwest Georgia. The Heart and Vascular program at Phoebe is recognized as a leader in advanced cardiac care, providing a comprehensive range of services including Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, and Multi-disciplinary Structural Heart Services. The program has performed more cardiology procedures than all other hospitals in Southwest Georgia combined.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced cardiac care as part of a comprehensive Heart and Vascular program.
  • Participate in regional outreach efforts 1-2 days per week.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists and surgeons.
  • Perform a full range of cardiac procedures including Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CTA, and structural heart interventions.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine (Required)
  • Completion or upcoming completion of cardiology fellowship and/or training as Heart Failure Specialist
  • Board certified physician or board certification eligible (must obtain board certification within 5 years of training)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a comprehensive and multispecialty heart and vascular center
  • Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities and cardiac procedures
