We are looking for a PRN Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with 2 years experience for our new OB Hospitalist program. The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians, urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician, providing back-up and consultation for midwifery service, caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room, triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted, assisting in cesarean deliveries when requested, and communicating with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested. The facility is a Level III maternity center with a Level III NICU and 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia, located in a rapidly growing suburban market with mostly private payer mix. The projected number of deliveries per year is 2000.
