Sanford Health is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Board Certified/Board Eligible Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our practice in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. This position is part of a busy practice that currently consists of two experienced board-certified physicians and one nurse practitioner. The practice is well-established, handling approximately 20-25 outpatient visits per weekday, with a balanced focus on both obstetrics and gynecology, approximately 50% each. The facility supports a significant volume of births, with 200-300 deliveries annually, and offers block operating room time to ensure efficient scheduling for surgical procedures. Each OB/GYN provider is assigned a dedicated nurse, an office, and two exam rooms to facilitate patient care. The call schedule is structured to be 1:3, allowing for a manageable work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive coverage for our patients. The community of Thief River Falls, with a growing population of 9,400, is home to several large employers, including Arctic Cat and Digi-Key Corporation, providing a stable economic environment. The area boasts excellent schools, recreational opportunities, and amenities such as biking and hiking trails, making it an attractive place for families and professionals alike. The role requires the physician to perform a range of gynecologic core privileges, including conducting history and physical examinations, admitting patients as applicable, and providing pre-, intra-, and postoperative care for female patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program and will be able to demonstrate competence through a residency procedure log or a quality profile from current privileges, including a minimum of 50 deliveries and 25 gynecological surgical procedures in the last 12 months. Certification by the appropriate specialty board is also required, with a pathway for those who have recently completed residency training to achieve certification within five years.
