About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Providence is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecological Physician for our Womens Health service line in Waco, TX. Waco has been recognized as the “Heart of Texas," and is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin with scores of shops and restaurants galore along with excellent parks, a supportive business environment, a low crime rate, diverse housing options, and top-ranked schools. Ascension Providence includes a 237-bed med/surg hospital, 12 Primary care physician practices, 13 specialty physician practices, a 48-bed psychiatric hospital, a Senior Living facility, and Hospice and Home Care. Ascension Providence is accredited as an advanced primary stroke center. Located halfway between Dallas and Austin and 3 hours from San Antonio and Houston, Waco is an important destination for education, manufacturing, and cultural events. Requirements

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements. Appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
