About the position

The Provider Recruitment Specialist at UW Health is responsible for supporting all aspects of the provider recruitment and employment process. This includes managing recruitment reporting, coordinating pre and post-employment activities, assisting with provider orientation, and maintaining electronic records. The role requires collaboration with the Medical Staff and Credentialing departments to track provider credentialing and participation in quality improvement activities. The specialist serves as a liaison to medical staff providers and collaborates with various departments to ensure effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment reporting for provider recruitment processes.
• Administer and coordinate provider pre and post-employment activities.
• Assist with the coordination of provider orientation.
• Maintain electronic records related to provider recruitment.
• Work closely with Medical Staff and Credentialing departments for credentialing tracking.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Serve as a department liaison to medical staff providers.

Requirements

• Associates degree in human resources or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, or customer service required.
• Experience in physician recruitment and healthcare preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and Internet applications.
• Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and senior administration.
• Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with provider recruitment process and credentialing process preferred.
