About the position

PeaceHealth is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join their Orthopedic surgery team at Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. This position involves performing a full scope of orthopedic surgeries in a Critical Access Level III Trauma center, providing 24/7 coverage alongside a stable surgery team. The role offers a balanced schedule with one scheduled OR block, three clinic days, and a call rotation of 1:3, focusing on common trauma surgery cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of orthopedic surgeries including hip, shoulder, wrist, ankle, and knee surgeries.
• Participate in a call rotation of 1:3 for trauma cases.
• Collaborate with a team of orthopedic and general surgeons, as well as APC support in the OR and clinic.
• Provide high-quality patient care and achieve the best outcomes for patients.

Requirements

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or eligibility for certification.
• Valid medical license to practice in Oregon.
• Experience in trauma surgery is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Fellowship training in a subspecialty of orthopedic surgery is a plus.
• Experience in a Critical Access or Trauma center.
