About the position

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified orthopedic surgeon to join their established orthopedic practice in Effingham, Illinois. Responsibilities

  • Provide orthopedic surgical care to patients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Participate in a Monday to Friday clinic schedule with the option of a 4-day work week.
  • Manage 7 days of call per month with minimal after-hours clinic call.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and management.
  • Work with a dedicated RN First Assist in both surgical and clinic settings.
  • Perform surgeries using available robotics technology.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois medical license prior to start.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent clinical doctorate degree required.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in orthopedic surgery.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with robotic surgical techniques.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of orthopedic surgery.
