The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician position at West Virginia University School of Medicine Eastern Division involves providing care in a pediatric unit and newborn nursery in Berkeley County, WV. Responsibilities
- Assist with coverage of the newborn nursery.
- Staff the eight bed pediatric unit with step-down unit level capabilities.
- Provide excellent patient care in a pediatric setting.
- Teach medical students and family medicine residents.
- Engage in quality improvement projects.
- Manage weekday nights with in-house advanced practice providers.
- Cover weekend nights with in-house faculty.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- State medical license and DEA registration by start date.
- Completed Pediatric residency program.
- Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics.
- Preference for candidates additionally board eligible/certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
