About the position
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Physiatrist to provide comprehensive Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services at the Lafayette location. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on improving the functional ability and quality of life for patients with various conditions. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to program development while ensuring clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists.
- Focus on improving functional ability and quality of life for patients with musculoskeletal disorders, neurological injuries, and chronic pain.
- Participate in the development of specific rehabilitation programs such as cancer, cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Engage in interventional or diagnostic procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD/DO) required.
- Physician License (MD/DO) upon hire required.
- Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility) upon hire required.
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification from American Heart Association upon hire required.
