About the position

The Physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Assistant Professor) will engage in a multifaceted role that includes clinical practice, education, and research within the Baylor College of Medicine. This position involves providing care across various services, including outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, while also contributing to the training of residents and fellows. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality improvement, and adherence to regulatory standards in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide call coverage as assigned.
  • Conduct clinical and educational research.
  • Engage in administrative research.
  • Educate and train residents, fellows, and students.
  • Participate in committees and other administrative duties.
  • Attend faculty meetings, grand rounds, and special lectures.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements related to patient care and Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Actively participate in faculty reviews and departmental meetings, retreats, and activities.
  • Perform other discipline and specialty specific duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of residency/fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR).
  • Possession of a Texas medical license.
