About the position

The position involves providing face-to-face psychiatric care with a focus on general psychiatry and medication management, particularly for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) across all ages, especially children and adolescents. The role includes collaboration with a primary care team and support systems to ensure quality patient care, along with opportunities for teaching and preceptorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric care focusing on general psychiatry and medication management.
• Work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
• Collaborate with primary care teams and support systems to ensure proper care is administered.
• Focus on patient care and quality assurance.
• Engage in teaching and preceptorship opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated training and comfort in providing care to a child and adolescent patient panel.
• Experience with IDD and the autistic community is preferred.
• Understanding of the community being served.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Psychiatry.
• New York State licensed.
