About the position
The position is for a BE/BC Psychiatrist to join a team in West Virginia, focusing on providing acute mental health care in a 25-bed facility. The role involves comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and delivering various therapeutic services to patients aged 5 and above, including both outpatient and inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans including cognitive and educational activities.
- Provide group and individual therapy sessions.
- Perform psychiatric evaluations, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Oversee 24-hour nursing care for patients.
- Manage outpatient therapy and medication management.
- Participate in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Experience in adult and adolescent psychiatry.
- Ability to work with both voluntary and involuntary patients.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
