About the position

The Physician Recruitment Onboarding and Retention Specialist at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for organizing and facilitating the onboarding and retention processes for physicians and providers. This role acts as a key point of contact for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization and addressing any concerns that may arise during the onboarding process. The specialist will also analyze feedback from new providers to improve the onboarding experience and will manage offboarding processes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate new provider orientation (NPO) for physicians and providers.
  • Coach NPO speakers to ensure effective presentations.
  • Update onboarding checklists regularly by key stakeholders.
  • Act as an orientation consultant to improve and streamline the onboarding experience.
  • Train new NPO facilitators on presentations and branding principles.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all physician onboarding processes.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of onboarding steps and resolve issues with partner departments.
  • Communicate changes and needs to all stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
  • Ensure each incoming provider receives a warm welcome to CommonSpirit Health.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking retention and engagement data.
  • Conduct 30, 90, and 365-day meetings with newly hired physicians and providers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for concerns raised by physicians and providers.
  • Resolve concerns and maintain relationships with providers.
  • Serve as a communication liaison for resolving provider compensation concerns.
  • Ensure timely removal of system access for exiting physicians and providers.
  • Update offboarding checklists regularly by key stakeholders.
  • Act as an offboarding consultant to improve the offboarding experience.
  • Administer and track various programs for new physicians and providers.
  • Assist with mentorship programs for participating medical groups.
  • Manage external vendor relationships related to onboarding.
  • Oversee projects related to physician and provider onboarding and offboarding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of physician and provider onboarding experience.
  • Experience coordinating physician and advanced provider onboarding.
  • Familiarity with provider credentialing and enrollment processes.
  • Experience leading and coordinating provider orientation programs.
  • Experience presenting in a group setting and creating training materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships across the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent process and detail orientation with strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
