About the position

The Onboarding and Retention Specialist at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for organizing and executing activities related to the onboarding and retention of physicians and providers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for incoming providers, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience and addressing any concerns that may arise. The specialist will also analyze feedback from newly hired providers to improve the onboarding process and enhance retention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate new provider orientation (NPO) for physicians and providers.
  • Coach NPO speakers and ensure onboarding checklists are updated regularly by key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Physician onboarding processes, ensuring timely turnaround of steps in the onboarding process.
  • Communicate changes and needs to all stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.
  • Ensure each incoming Provider/Physician receives a warm welcome to CommonSpirit Health.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of retention and engagement data.
  • Create, manage, and perform 30, 90, and 365-day meetings with newly hired Physicians and providers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for concerns brought forward by Physicians and providers, seeing concerns through to resolution.
  • Serve as a communication liaison for resolving pending provider compensation concerns.
  • Ensure timely removal of exiting physician and provider system access and update offboarding checklists regularly.
  • Send and perform exiting physician or provider surveys and track/share results with leadership.
  • Create a dynamic and productive team that supports all elements of provider onboarding, offboarding, and retention.
  • Provide timely coaching and feedback to the team and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Administer and track various programs for new physicians and providers, such as moving concierge services and student loan repayment services.
  • Assist with mentorship programs for participating medical groups.
  • Manage external vendor relationships related to onboarding physicians and providers.
  • Oversee projects related to physician and provider onboarding and offboarding.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of physician and provider onboarding experience required.
  • Experience coordinating Physician and Advanced Provider onboarding.
  • Experience working with provider credentialing and enrollment processes.
  • Experience leading and coordinating provider orientation programs.
  • Experience presenting in a group setting and creating training material.
  • Minimum Required: HS degree/equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and geographies throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Excellent process and detail orientation, including strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
