About the position
Judge Healthcare is seeking a remote Physician Reviewer who will utilize their clinical expertise to conduct evidence-based reviews for medication requests, particularly for commercial and Medicare D medications. This role involves peer reviews that provide an informed perspective on coverage decisions, allowing physicians to engage with innovative treatment modalities and stay updated on emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct peer reviews for medication requests based on clinical appropriateness and insurance plan criteria.
- Utilize clinical knowledge to provide evidence-based reviews for commercial and Medicare D medications.
- Stay informed about controversial and cutting-edge treatment modalities through the review process.
- Navigate multiple computer applications simultaneously while working on three monitors.
Requirements
- Current/active Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine by an approved medical specialty board.
- Current, unrestricted, unencumbered medical license required for clinical practice.
- Minimum of five years' full-time equivalent experience providing direct clinical care to patients.
- Ability to navigate through several computer applications simultaneously.
- Top quality, high-speed cable internet connection is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience administering utilization management and peer review programs.
