About the position

Medical Center is actively recruiting for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Vascular Surgeon to join a talented team of specialists. The vascular surgery team is part of a larger group that includes subspecialists in Bariatrics, Thoracic, Breast, Colorectal, and General Surgery. The practice is supported by one Nurse Practitioner and has a Surgical Advanced Practitioner Service that provides coverage from Monday to Friday, with some weekends and evenings also covered. The facility includes a separate Ambulatory Surgery Center and a Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, ensuring comprehensive care for patients. As a Vascular Surgeon at this Hospital, you will participate in the surgical resident teaching program and contribute to the education of medical students from Tufts University School of Medicine during their third-year surgical rotation at the Hospital. The position is one of four Vascular Surgeons, with weekday call responsibilities limited to the main hospital, while weekend call is shared among nine Vascular Surgeons across three sites within the healthcare system. The role focuses exclusively on vascular surgery, with the added capability to perform wound care procedures. This position offers the opportunity to provide quality care within a well-known hospital, supported by a highly trained vascular team. You will have office-based procedure capacity and the potential for an academic appointment with Tufts University School of Medicine. Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical care as a Vascular Surgeon within the hospital and community.
  • Participate in the surgical resident teaching program.
  • Educate medical students from Tufts University School of Medicine during their surgical rotation.
  • Share weekend call responsibilities with other Vascular Surgeons in the system.
  • Perform office-based procedures and wound care as needed.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring surgical residents and medical students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong commitment to providing quality patient care.
