About the position

Matrix Providers is seeking a Traumatic Brain Injury Provider to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams at the Medical Disability Examinations facility in Billings, MT. This role combines telehealth and travel responsibilities, focusing on providing quality assessments for Veterans while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read order requests and review medical history including service records and previous exams.
• Complete appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through the Electronic Medical Records System (EMR).
• Explain the exam process to the veteran and confirm the claimed conditions.
• Complete the chart and submit the exam within 24-48 hours after the exam is completed.
• Administer and interpret the MOCA test as needed.
• Troubleshoot IT issues with veterans during telehealth exams.
• Maintain a professional background for virtual appointments.

Requirements

• Must hold an MD/DO license in at least one state in the United States.
• Must be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) or have completed a 2-year residency in one of these specialties.
• Demonstrates compassion and professionalism with a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite and using EMR platforms.
• Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in clinical settings.
• Prior VA or C&P experience.
