Responsibilities

  • Provide covered services to enrolled and unassigned patients presenting for care.
  • Examine, diagnose, treat, or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals and health education.
  • Order diagnostic tests and request consultations or referrals as needed.
  • Direct and teach other medical staff, providing educational lectures and in-service training.
  • Comply with the VA formulary process and consult protocols.

Requirements

  • Evidence of education, training, and experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Board Certified by the ABMS or BOS in Internal Medicine and/or Family Practice.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license in Oklahoma.
  • Completion of VA mandatory training and current ACLS/BLS certifications.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
