Responsibilities

• Apply principles and theories of physics to improve medical equipment and technology.
• Maintain all equipment in the department.
• Verify accuracy of all dosimetric plans.
• Provide care for all Oncology patients.
• Conduct research and experiments in the area of structure and properties of matter.
• Develop processes and procedures related to matter and energy relationships.
• Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements and yearly calibration on all treatment units.
• Monitor equipment in Radiation Oncology to ensure safe functioning.
• Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
• Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
• Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
• Medical Physicist License
