About the position

The PI Coord, RN (Data Analyst/Registrar) plays a crucial role in supporting the Trauma Program Manager by ensuring compliance with data capture and entry for the Trauma Registry. This position involves monitoring and analyzing data related to trauma patient care, coordinating quality and performance improvement initiatives, and facilitating optimal outcomes in trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary support to the Trauma Program Manager for data collection, abstraction, and coding.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations for data capture and entry for the Trauma Registry.
• Monitor and analyze data relating to the treatment and quality of care of all trauma patients.
• Coordinate daily quality and performance improvement needs to facilitate optimal outcomes and standard of care.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS provider cards
• TNCC or ATCN training/certifications preferred
• National or state certification in area of practice preferred, TCRN and/or CSTR
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Three (3) years minimum nursing experience with knowledge of principles and practices of trauma patient care
• Basic to Intermediate ICD-10 Coding Course
• Experience in public speaking
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications

Nice-to-haves

• Membership in professional organization preferred
• Experience in Trauma Registry preferred
• Knowledge of trauma statistical reports, peer review and performance improvement an asset
• Ability to think proactively and act creatively
